MARIE-FRANCE BOYER AND CHARLES SEBRIEN - Lot 15
MARIE-FRANCE BOYER AND CHARLES SEBRIEN "Baiser d'été": title of the sketch directed by Bernard T. Michel for the feature film "Les Baisers," produced by Georges de Beauregard, 1964. Vintage promotional brochure, eight pages illustrated with stills from the film; layout by Christian Broutin. 31 x 24 cm. Note: Produced in the mid-1960s, *Les Baisers* is a Franco-Italian film composed of five sketches exploring different expressions of the kiss. It brings together several young filmmakers then associated with the French New Wave: Bernard Toublanc-Michel, Bertrand Tavernier, Jean-François Hauduroy, Claude Berri, and Charles Bitsch. In the first segment, titled “Baiser d’été,” Marie-France Boyer plays Diana opposite Charles Sébrien as Éric. Filmed in Le Croisic and La Baule, this sketch features cinematography by Raoul Coutard, a renowned collaborator of the French New Wave, and music by Ward Swingle. Designed by illustrator Christian Broutin, this eight-page promotional brochure documents, through its layout and photographs, the original marketing campaign for this sketch film, which is rarely screened today.
