ISABELLE ADJANI AND FRANÇOIS TRUFFAUT - Lot 61
ISABELLE ADJANI AND FRANÇOIS TRUFFAUT During the filming of the movie "The Story of Adèle H.," 1975. Photo by Jacques-Henri Lartigue, vintage silver gelatin print, stamps (including the photographer’s) and captioned and dated on the back. 23.3 x 30 cm. Some signs of handling visible only when held up to the light. Note: Taken during the filming of *L’Histoire d’Adèle H.*, directed by François Truffaut in 1975. Inspired by the diary of Adèle Hugo, Victor Hugo’s youngest daughter, the film recounts her obsessive and unrequited passion for British Lieutenant Albert Pinson. Then twenty years old, Isabelle Adjani delivers a feverish performance that definitively established her talent on the international stage and earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. The film marks the only collaboration between the actress and Truffaut.
