AUDREY HEPBURN AND HUMPHREY BOGART - Lot 110
AUDREY HEPBURN AND HUMPHREY BOGART During the filming of Billy Wilder’s movie “Sabrina,” 1954. Photo, vintage silver print, annotated on the back. 17.5 x 24 cm. Note: The only time Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart appeared together on screen, “Sabrina” is a romantic comedy directed by Billy Wilder, based on the play “Sabrina Fair” by Samuel A. Taylor. Hepburn plays the daughter of the chauffeur for a wealthy Long Island family. Returning transformed from a stay in Paris, she catches the attention of the two Larrabee brothers: David, played by William Holden, and Linus, a stern businessman portrayed by Bogart. The film also marked the beginning of the collaboration between Audrey Hepburn and Hubert de Givenchy, who designed her Parisian outfits, while Edith Head oversaw the costumes. Filming began in late September 1953 and wrapped up in November; the film was released in the United States in September 1954. Signs of handling, most visible against the light, and a slightly dog-eared corner.
