La Passante du Sans-Souci, Walter CARONE (1920–1982) - Lot 260
La Passante du Sans-Souci, Walter CARONE (1920–1982) Set of three photographs from the filming of La Passante du Sans-Souci, Paris, 1981–1982. Includes: - Jacques Martin in a scene from *La Passante du Sans-Souci*; - Jacques Martin in makeup as Adolf Hitler for a parody sequence in the film; - Romy Schneider and Jacques Rouffio on the set of *La Passante du Sans-Souci*, Paris, 1981. Three silver gelatin press prints. Typewritten captions and credits to Walter Carone / Sygma on the reverse, as shown on the individual prints. 20 × 30 cm each. Note: Taken by Walter Carone for the Sygma agency, these three photographs document the filming of Jacques Rouffio’s *La Passante du Sans-Souci*, an adaptation of Joseph Kessel’s novel. They show Jacques Martin in his role—notably dressed as Adolf Hitler for a parody sequence—as well as Romy Schneider in conversation with director Jacques Rouffio during a moment of preparation. The last film Romy Schneider completed before her death in 1982, *La Passante du Sans-Souci* holds a special place in her filmography. Preserved with their original captions and credits, these prints offer a behind-the-scenes glimpse into French cinema in the early 1980s.
