Five vintage silver gelatin press prints. Bilingual printed or typewritten captions, stamps, and credits for James Andanson / Sygma on the reverse, depending on the print. Approximately 20 × 30 cm each. Note: Taken by James Andanson for the Sygma agency on June 26, 1983, this collection documents American writer Harold Robbins’s stay in Saint-Tropez, a few days before his appearance on Bernard Pivot’s Apostrophes to promote his novel *Le Beau Parleur* (The Peddler). The photographs show the novelist, alone or accompanied by his wife Grace, aboard his yacht, bearing witness to the international fame of one of the most widely read best-selling authors of the second half of the 20th century. The original captions and stamps preserved on the reverse side enhance the documentary value of these prints.
